Sence hidden in details

'In my paintings, the main focus is on the hands. As opposed to social networks and endless retouched selfies with fake emotions, I do not use faces, but hands as the main tool for conveying the ideas, emotions and states of a person. Hands are much less likely to get into social media, they are rarely retouched and are not used to convey staged emotions and states, therefore it is on them that the focus is shifted in my works, the plasticity of hands is used to convey the truth, faces fade into the background, and sometimes are completely hidden.

From the very beginning, my still life paintings were characterized by bright colours and complex backgrounds, but my style was finally formed during a 4-year residence in Thailand, where bright colours and unusual exotic fruits increased my love for still lifes and bright colours. I paint two types of still lifes: some still lifes perform the function of interior decoration, the other part is “double bottom” still lifes, in addition to the decorative function, they also carry an idea and fruits are just a form to convey it. Even the smallest and most insignificant elements are not random, their choice is always subject to the main idea'
